Tourism Australia to launch new UK campaign

Tourism Australia will launch the next phase of its global campaign on Monday.

The new campaign will be an updated version of TA's hugely popular 'There's nothing like Australia' campaign and will feature a TV advert supported by print, mobile and online elements. In total, Tourism Australia is spending over £1 million to attract more Brits Down Under.

"When we first launched 'There's nothing like Australia' in May 2010, it was built to last and designed to be flexible," said Rodney Harrex, Tourism Australia's regional general manager for the UK and Northern Europe.

"Now is the right time to evolve the campaign to remain competitive and position Australia as an achievable holiday destination that offers premium unique experiences."

Mr Harrex said the campaign, which will run between Monday 17 September and 28 October, has been initiated in partnership with Qantas and after the initial run other airlines operating between the UK and Australia will be partnered.

The campaign will feature plenty of Australia's best known tourist attractions including the Sydney Opera House, the Bungle Bungles in the Kimberly region, Uluru and the Great Barrier Reef.

"This new campaign creative clearly demonstrates Australia's distinctive and high quality tourism products and experiences that are amongst the world's finest," said Mr Harrex.
